A Riverside Wedding – Brittani and Kyle
Wicomico River, Bushwood, MD – Twelve years ago, Brittani and Kyle first laid eyes on each other during an event at Bailey’s Olde Breton Inn in Leonardtown. Saturday, June 3, 2017, Bailey’s Catering was again on hand; this time preparing their wedding day feast. The day began early with preparation as everyone excitedly gathered in anticipation for what many of the guests described as “long overdue.” 🙂 Easing any jitters, Brittani and Kyle decided to do a “first look” and have all of their photos done before their ceremony. It made for an easy transition to the reception area where their guests awaited after the ceremony.
As Brittani and her attendants finished their last minute touches, someone called out from an open window “Here they come!” From the second story of Ocean Hall, you could see the boat carrying the groom and his groomsmen. The time had arrived! Brittani, with her parents, Eddie and Janet, was radiant as she came to the shoreline to become Mrs. Wood. Surrounded by friends and family, the two exchanged rings (one rather sweet), and then had a sand ceremony joining them as one.
Having known Brittani and her family for many years, it was an honor for Tom and I to have first captured their engagement photos and now have been a part of their continuing journey through marriage. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and many calm seas ahead.
